Transportation
During the 2009 Spring Evangelistic Campaign, the Transportation Ministry provided support as Mount Pilgrim went into neighborhoods to witness about God. Children and Youth Bible Study was conducted daily from Tuesday, April 7 through Thursday, April 9.

Below you can see our Transportation Ministry member preparing to leave to pick up the children who attended the Bible study.

See also the children and youth as they discuss the Word of God during the 2009 Spring Evangelistic Campaign.  They were divided into age-appropriate groups and conducted various activities designed to introduce them to True Devotion.

Reverend Williams, Associate Minister at Mount Pilgrim, shared the word of God at a Street Ministry in a nearby community as part of the 2009 Spring Evangelistic Campaign.

On the move, making it happen; the transportation ministry focuses on supporting the church’s mission of providing for the needs of the church family and others.  The transportation ministry at Mount Pilgrim has grown over the years from a single school bus to a fleet of seven vehicles which includes a specialized handicap equipped bus, two large capacity vehicles, and four multipurpose use vans. This ministry supports the church’s mission by providing transportation for all church sponsored events. Weekly transportation is provided for both Higher Ground Fellowship Hour and Morning Worship service.  The ministry also provides support of the church’s mission by providing daily transportation for members needing to go to the doctor. This ministry is always on the move providing transportation to bereaved family members during home going services; to church ministries activities outside of the church walls, and annually as the Mount Pilgrim delegation travels to the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education and to the Louisiana Baptist Congress of Christian Education.

During the worst national disaster in U.S. history, the transportation ministry assisted in moving people from their damaged homes in New Orleans to safer places in Houston, Dallas, and many other areas. During this event the ministry also assisted with the movement supplies around the city and state.
